Terms of sale
These terms are for shoppers buying as consumers (not as a business). They sit alongside your legal rights. Nothing here takes those rights away.
Who you are buying from
JDDA Media Limited, trading as Atelier Jing Studio, a company registered in England and Wales. Company number 12045526. Email hello@jingsthings.co.uk. ICO registration ZC186891.
Atelier Jing Studio is not VAT-registered. No VAT is charged, and there is no VAT number to show. Prices are in pounds sterling.
Information before you buy
Before you pay, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 require us to give you the information below. You will find it on the product page, the basket, these terms, and Delivery and returns.
- The main characteristics of the piece, including materials, size and whether it is ready to ship or made to order.
- Our identity, company number and email, as set out above.
- The total price, including what is due for delivery. Delivery is free, so the price on the page is the amount you pay. No VAT is added.
- How you pay (by card, through checkout), when an order is dispatched, and how long delivery takes.
- How to cancel, and the 14-day period for ready-to-ship pieces, under Your 14-day right to cancel below. The model cancellation form is there if you want to use it. Made-to-order and custom-size pieces are non-returnable.
- That a commission made to your own specification is not covered by that 14-day right. We say so again before you pay.
- How to complain: email hello@jingsthings.co.uk. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact Citizens Advice.
The contract
A piece in your basket is not an order. The contract is made when we confirm the order by email after payment. Each order is for the pieces named in that email. We sell in English, under the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can still use your local courts for a consumer claim.
Price
Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, the price we invite you to pay must be the price you actually pay. The figure on the product page is the full price in pounds. Delivery is £0 and is stated before you order. We do not add a fee at the last step that was not shown with the price. A made-to-order lead time is on the product page before you order.
We do not publish reviews on this site yet. We will not publish a review that is not from a real customer of that piece. We will not commission a fake review, hide a review because it is critical, or present a paid review as an independent one.
Delivery
Delivery is free on every order, by Royal Mail Tracked 48. We post to England, Scotland and Wales. We don’t post to Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey or the Isle of Man. If your postcode is outside that area, we’ll say so before you pay. The order cut-off is 2pm, Monday to Saturday. Ready-to-ship pieces are posted in 1–2 working days, Monday to Saturday. Transit is 2–3 days, Monday to Saturday. Made-to-order pieces usually take 2–5 weeks, depending on the piece, then the same transit time. Bracelets take 2–3 weeks. Rings take 3–5 weeks. Necklaces take 3–5 weeks. Commissions take the time agreed when the studio quotes. The detail is on Delivery and returns.
Your 14-day right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel a ready-to-ship order from the shop within 14 days after the day the goods arrive. You do not have to give a reason. Made-to-order and custom-size pieces are non-returnable. How to tell the studio, where to send the piece, and when the refund is paid are set out on Delivery and returns. The model cancellation form is there if you want to use it. The refund may be reduced if you handle the goods more than you would need to in order to examine them as you could in a shop. A refund will not be refused only because the packaging was opened.
Commissions, the bespoke exemption
A commission made to your own specification (your colours, shape, style or size) is made to your requirements. The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to those goods. We tell you this before you pay. You can still cancel a commission for a full refund before we start work. We will tell you before we start. Once work has started, we cannot refund a change of mind. If the piece is faulty, damaged, or not what we agreed, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still applies.
If something is wrong: the 30-day right to reject
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they are not, you can reject them and claim a full refund within 30 days of delivery. During those 30 days you do not have to accept a repair or replacement first. After 30 days you can ask for a repair or a replacement and, if that does not put things right, a price reduction or a final refund. We pay the return postage when the goods are faulty, not as described, or (for a commission) not as agreed. This applies to everything we sell, including commissions. It is separate from the 14-day change-of-mind right.
Product safety
JDDA Media Limited is the producer of this jewellery. Each product page names the piece and its code, so an order can be traced. Materials are listed on that page. Pieces are tatted by hand, so small differences from the photographs are normal.
About the metal in the jewellery explains the findings and the metallic thread.
The pieces contain small beads. They are not suitable for young children.
Keep lace jewellery away from water, perfume and lotion, and store it flat.
The General Product Safety Regulations 2005 require us to sell only safe products. The notice on the metal in the jewellery is there so you can judge the findings and the thread. It does not limit a claim if a piece is unsafe or not as described.
Complaints
Email hello@jingsthings.co.uk with your order number and what went wrong. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact Citizens Advice. These terms do not stop you from using the courts.
